Lately, many of us get movie rentals all the time. More often than not we will wait for the DVD rentals to hit the stores, in lieu of seeing the film at the cinema. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones series. In this episode Indiana it’s the cold war, and the Russians are the enemy. This time, it’s off top the amazone to search for some South American relics, which are thought to have secret powers.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ex con Ben Garvey is a changed man. With a beauitiful wife and daughter, and a good job, things are pretty darn good. Then, he unexplicably loses his steady paycheck, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. His criminal rebirth is a complete bust, and he is convicted, and sentenced to die. He fully expects to be killed by lethal injection. To his surprise, he isn’t dead, but is in a mental hospital. He now struggles for his sanity, and his spritual well being.

LINEWATCH: Mr. Michael Dixon is a well seasoned boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Now, things in his past are going to threaten his future. He was a member of a viscious L.A. gang, before final breaking away. When an unfortunate meeting exposes his whereabouts to his old gang, his family is put in grave danger. He must risk his future, and make sure that gang leader drake is able to safely move a large drug shipment from Mexico into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Military scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has been changed into a creature called the green Hulk. This box office hit is an epic tale of the marvel universe comic super hero the green Hulk. Key actors include Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. This movie would be classified as a science fiction film.

DECEPTION: Accountant Jonathan McQuarry has an unusual meeting with charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that changes his life forever. John is exposed to “The List”, which provides access to a secret world of sexual extasy. Unfortunately, he also gets caught up in a treacherous game of back stabbing and murder.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Trying to find his lost brother, professor Trevor Anderson goes on a mission that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a new version of the 1959 production, which was based on the classic novel by celbrated writer Jules Verne. Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers star in this adventure film.

THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are escaping Philadelphia by train. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. Citizens are being affected by some unknown malady, and are dying at their own hands. Will mankind solve this dilemma, or are we witnessing the final acts of the human race?

IRON MAN: Super stud, engineering expert, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is attacked and taken by Afghan insurgents. They demand him to build missiles for the insurgent group. He was injured when his convoy was attacked, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To survive his injuries, and break away from his enemies, he designs a suit of armor, that makes him super strong. Iron Man, a new super hero has arrived.

SPEED RACER: A cartoon from the 90’s gets real actors. Just like The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a feature film with actors. Speed Racer who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a very dangerous race that had cost his brother his life. Against the odds, and risking it all, Speed Racer teams with his arch rival Racer X, to attempt to take the title, and keep his families racing business alive.
